Rachael and Ryan had the opportunity to buy the house next door to Rachael's grandmother's house and they pounced on it. There is now room for everyone (grandma has her own room now) and the most exciting part for FTB is that there is a detached garage that will be perfect for the studio!!!

All that to say that the official launch of FTB won't be until (fingers crossed) early 2023. The electrical panel needs to be upgraded to run the kiln and that involves permits (a process we started about a month ago) and we all know how looooooong that can take.

Erik is bored and eager to get back to work, but he's made it this long, so we are sure he can make it a little longer. Another bonus to the new house is that Erik can actually come inside as there are no stairs to thwart his chair!!!

With all their other responsibilities, both Rachael and Ryan are glad for the lengthy permit process allowing them time to get moved and settled into the new house. Though Rachael is very much looking forward, after almost three years, to really get back into creating things again.

Once progress on the studio starts happening you'll want to watch our socials for pictures and updates!

Rachael and Erik regret to inform that, Fondle These Bowls will be on indefinite, but temporary, hiatus until sometime in 2022. Rachael, her husband, and freshly minted adult son, have moved in with her grandmother to lovelingly and smartassedly take care of her for the rest of her life. The move from Citrus Heights to Auburn and leaving behind the FTB studio in Fair Oaks are a big change, but one that every Knight-Reigns is happy about.

Rachael's grandmother fell and fractured her hip ball at the beginning of August, 2021, diagnosed with lung cancer in December of 2021. Many unfortunate circumstances led to Rachael, her husband and their son moving in with her 90yr old+ grandmother. Since all three of them came back to California in 2010 to be near Rachael's grandmother, they are all happy to be there living with her even if it's because of circumstances that impede her independence.

On top of all that, as if that weren't enough, our government makes it SPECTACULARILY more difficult than necessary for those with disabilities to become business owners.

Rachael and Erik look forward to getting back to making things you'll want to touch!!!!!
